Cancer’s love the home-life, family and domestic surroundings. They are traditionalists, and enjoy operating on a simple level. They love history, and are fascinated with the beginnings of things. The moon is their ruler, so they can be a bit of a contradiction and sometimes very moody. However, they are conservative, so they will try to hide their moods from others altogether. They have a reputation for being fickle, but they will tell you that isn’t true, and it’s not. Cancer’s make loyal and sympathetic friends. However Cancer’s need there alone time, and when they retreat, let them do so on their terms, without bothering them.
The Cancer Baby
A Water sign, the Cancer baby is likely to be more emotional than most other babies. Unfortunatly this means alot of tears! This baby will probably cry a fair bit, so holding and touching are of a huge importance or anything else to achieve comfort. Along these lines, this is a baby who needs to feel secure in his home and surroundings and will easily pick up on bad vibes in the household. Therefore, arguing while in the presence of this child should be kept to a minimum. Family is important to the Cancer baby, as is nurturing. As Cancer is the sign of the Mother, the traits of nurturing, family, and mood swings are highlighted. And because Cancer is the sign of Memory, the Cancer baby will retain their memories from the past, both bad and good memories. This is a child who could get lost in the store for a couple of minutes and forever remember it as a sign of rejection by the mother! For this reason and others, this baby needs to be made to feel secure, especially within the family unit. To the Cancer baby, family will always come first, even over freinds, this is a great quality. However the Cancer baby will nonetheless surprise Mom and Dad by being fussy about the food they receive, so be sure to please their palate! To sum up, the Cancer baby relates to family, they must feel protected, and more likely than not, they will learn to swim like a fish!
